Audra Wist is an interdisciplinary artist whose work is in conversation with structuralist, classic, cult, and contemporary film and celebrity. She investigates moral and ideological divisions in the age of cancellation, blacklisting, and trauma culture while presenting paradoxical portraits of power, seduction, advertising, desire, pleasure, visibility and surveillance using video, performance, drawings, and installations. She has exhibited and performed at High Art (Paris), 56 Henry (New York), Wilding Cran (Los Angeles), Ace Hotel (Los Angeles), Museum of Sex (New York), with her work also appearing on Vivid SiriusXM, Mindbrowse.com, Sang Bleu, Kink.com, Flaunt, Discipline Press, MATH and BRKFST magazine. She was a BDSM professional for 10 years and Autre magazine's sex editor-at-large. She studied at Carnegie Mellon University (BFA), Yale Norfolk, and UCLA (MFA) in New Genres and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2019.
